2014 O'Neill Cocoa Beach Stand Up Paddle Challenge at Beach 'N Boardsfest

Saturday, March 15th - Demo Day Races (1 & 3 mile)
Sunday, March 16th - Elite Race (7-mile)

O'Neill in conjunction with Ron Jon Beach'N Boards Fest will host a Demo Day and Elite Race. The Demo Day, Saturday March 15, will consist of board and paddle demos highlighted by a paddle clinic with Champion paddler Rob Rojas.
A 1 and 3 mile race ($25 entry fee) will also be held for those wanting to test their endurance and paddle skills. The Elite race ($50 entry fee), Sunday March 16, will consist of a 7-mile cash purse race.
This is an ocean race.

DEMO DAY: March 15, 2014

Demo: 8:00am-12:00pm
Rob Rojas paddle technique: 11:00am-12:00pm
Lunch 11:30am-1:00pm

1 mile & 3 mile race: 12:30pm-1:30pm
Awards: 2:00pm

$25 entry fee

ELITE RACE: MARCH 16, 2014

Race start time: 9:30am
Cash purse: $4,000

Men’s Open Division purse breakdown: 1st: $800, 2nd: $500, 3rd: $300, 4th: $200, 5th: $100 = Total: $1900

Women’s Open Division purse breakdown: 1st: $500, 2nd: $400, 3rd: $200, 4th: $100, 5th: $50 = Total: $1250

Prone Open Division purse breakdown: 1st: $350, 2nd $200; 3rd: $150, 4th: $100, 5th: $50 = Total: $850
